Blithe: showing high spirits or lightheartedness; joyfulness, playfulness, and exhilaration.

Blithe Yoga began in East London with a simple intention: to make yoga accessible, affordable, and inclusive for every body.

Founded by Lexi Elven in 2016 as a cosy yoga supper club in her Forest Gate living room, Blithe grew from these intimate beginnings into a warm and welcoming community studio in Stratford two years later.

Now a Community Interest Company (CIC), Blithe Yoga continues to serve the Stratford community while also bringing our approach to Bristol. Since becoming a not-for-profit organisation in 2025, we have expanded our programme of yoga courses, workshops and special events - all created to nurture connection, wellbeing and joy.

We’re delighted to be finding new homes for Blithe at The Lighthouse & Gardens in Stratford, a community centre whose values and community-focused work closely align with our own, and at the beautiful Chapel Hall at Avanti Gardens in Bristol.

At its heart, Blithe Yoga is a welcoming space where everyone is invited to move, breathe and belong. Community is at the centre of everything we do, and we’re committed to creating spaces where people can practise yoga, connect with others and feel genuinely at home.
